Wrote this short poem long ago and today I was just thinking about the life of Marie Curie (random, unrelated thoughts). She was of Polish origin but French by marriage. She contributed immensely to the body of knowledge that led to knowing more about radioactivity and in the process discovered the elements — Radium and Polonium. During World War 1, she developed mobile radiography units to provide X-ray services to field hospitals.

“Have no fear of perfection; you’ll never reach it.” Marie Curie

She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences — Physics and Chemistry. But she thinks her biggest achievement is below…..

I think she was an erudite scholar that contributed in making the world a better place. What do you think ?
